I'm just sowing

The Lord encouraged me last week with a reminder that I'm just sowing. Sowing is hard work. You just keep faithfully doing the mundane work of scattering seed. You don't always see growth. Sometimes you do, but often you don't right away. I think I just expect results. Immediate results. I might labor hard and long but I like to see the fruit of my labors. The Lord in his kindness (through a message from CJ Mahaney on sowing) showed me that my frustration with myself and my labors is often rooted in wanting to see measurable results. I don't think I'm being fruitful. I can't see proof. The Lord is just asking for me to be faithful, to trust Him with the results.
