My only expectation

I've been struggling a lot with expectations. Expecting people to respond a particular way. Expecting a life of ease and comfort. Expecting things in my life to unfold exactly as I deem best. How arrogant! I want to humbly wait for my Savior to work in the way He sees best. I want my only expectation to be His faithfulness...I want to expect great mercies from my His hand. And to humbly wait for Him alone.

"God's time, though it tarry, and God's deliverance, though delayed, when it comes proves always to have been the best: 'my soul, wait thou only upon GOd; for my expecation is from him.' Psalm 62:5." (Morning Thoughts: Octavious Winslow).

That's exactly where I've been at! Yielding my expectations. And expecting Him to be faithful will never prove disappointing, because the Word promises He will be. So, that is a great thing to expect! I love hearing what you're learning. It blesses & encourages me:)
