Contemplations
I'm not sure it's ever wise to deeply contemplate life's mysteries when you've just driven all day through 3 states...But that's what I'm doing just the same. I'm thinking about this last year and a half and ALL that the Lord has done. He has led me in some amazing ways. A year and a half ago, I was still in San Diego, serving at the church there. We were finishing up our building project. All I could think about was bathroom fixtures, partitions, drywall, volunteer schedules and such. And now here I am in Gaithersburg, MD serving at the Pastors College. In between I enjoyed a wonderful season with my parents in North Carolina!! And He blessed me with a few sweet friendships there as well (2 girls I get to catch up with this next weekend at a women's retreat in NC). It is just so interesting to me (rather amazing to me really) how the Lord leads us. Each season is full of undeserved blessings, people that He builds our lives with, and also difficult trials. And through each season, the Savior continues to lead us. Yet when you're in the middle of a season, you can't imagine ever leaving that season!! It was very hard for me to leave San Diego, even though I knew it was my Shepherd calling. But it was agonizing. For I loved where God had me. And yet He was calling me to follow. And then again, He called me to leave NC. I am just freshly reminded of how the Savior leads His people. He leads us gently. He leads us surely. He leads us for our good. He leads us for the furtherance of His glory on this earth. He leads us for He loves us. Thank you, Lord. My heart is full as I recount your wondrous leading in my life.
