Trip to San Diego and other life happenings . . .
Wow! So much life has happened, and I simply haven't taken the time to document it! So here is a small attempt!
The beginning of June was a wonderful time of celebrating this year's Pastors College class. So many sweet memories all wrapped up into a few weeks - graduation festivities, last times with friends, and the list goes on. I've included a few pictures on the sidebar with some of my dear PC friends. I miss them already! But the graduation was such a meaningful time of giving thanks to God for the privilege of serving here. To get to play a very small part in sending these dear folks on to serve their churches, to see the Gospel go forth - I stand amazed! As I left the graduation ceremony on June 7th, while I was sad, most of all I was amazed! That I would be allowed the privilege of being here. I simply can't thank the Lord enough for the joy of serving the Pastors College and being able to see how He leads these dear students.
A few days after graduation, I got on a plane headed for San Diego to spend time with my brother and sister-in-law, as well as a close friend who just had her first little one! What a sweet time it was. I was absolutely spoiled! We went on a hike down to the ocean, enjoyed eating shrimp burritos on another beach ( I couldn't get enough of the water!), shopped with my sister-in-law, enjoyed a dinner with their family, got to visit Grace Church in San Diego which was so meaningful, held my little Josiah (My friend Vanessa's little boy) in my arms and cried when I had to say goodbye, spent lots of time talking with Vanessa as we enjoyed a relaxing time together, took Josiah out on his first walk in his stroller, enjoyed Thai food together (a Vanessa-Melissa tradition) and then got to see my friend Dannah's first condo! Whew! I could go on and on! The Lord really gave me a wonderful time in San Diego!! It was hard to leave . . . :)
And then I came home for a few days, and then set off for Ohio to celebrate Father's Day. We had a "Best Dad in the West" theme complete with western movies and BBQ food! I love my family!!
My boss just left for England, and I'm busily preparing for next year's PC class. I'm enjoying the slower pace. It's a wonderful respite.
Well, that's my update for now! More exciting news coming soon. . .
