It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year . . .
I really do think this is true! I love Christmas! I love the cheesy movies, the familiar tunes, writing Christmas cards, picking out the perfect presents for my dear friends and family. I could go on! This year has been an especially delightful one! Last weekend, I went to be with my parents in VA. And while the snow fell, I was cozy in the house wrapping gifts and enjoying Christmas cheer! And then last week, I had the privilege of singing for a Christmas service that my church did at a local correctional facility. We are trusting the Lord for souls to be saved. Saturday was the Pastors College wives yearly Christmas Tea. It was wonderful being with these dear ladies. I don't get to see them much, so I treasure the times I get. Then today I enjoyed a fabulous day! After a refreshing time at church, I enjoyed the Nutcracker Ballet and lunch with a group of sweet girls. And the fun continues into next week...Tomorrow night I am having a night of Christmas fun with the Purswell boys. We'll be donning santa hats, building a gingerbread house, and having loads of fun. I could go on . . . I am so grateful for these opportunities to make memories this season.
But what makes this the most wonderful time of the year is the fresh reminder of the miracle of the incarnation. The Son of God came down and humbled Himself on that old rugged cross. THIS is what makes this season so wonderful! Lord, may I dwell on these things midst the activity of this week. May I not miss what is of first importance - You!

Anyway! :) What a blessing! Thank you for sharing!!!
Another friend of mine wrote something similar yesterday that I was also blessed by, and I wanted to share it with you! She said, "...how amazingly good God is that he allows everyone to celebrate his birth, gives them the grace to enjoy His birthday, the grace to hear of him. Year after year after year!" I couldn't have said it any better ! She continued, "The day of judgment is coming where those who have rejected Jesus will be held accountable. But it wasn’t today! Today God was patient and allowed thousand of San Diegans to enjoy the beautiful Bay, sparkly lights, Christmas music and the joy brought to us from his Son's birth. The day of judgment is coming. But until then, God is patient, loving, kind, drawing his children to himself. And every year giving a beautiful, fun, festive reminder of his birth for those who love him to celebrate; and for those who reject Him a chance to repent. Isn’t it amazing?"
I am just so in awe that our Lord gives each of us the amazing privilege to celebrate HIM during this time of year (and all year long really!)... that every single day is a gift from Him.. that His grace is poured out to all mankind by giving the lost chance after chance day after day to follow Him! Praise God! :) Love you! Sorry for the long comment!
