I expect great mercies!

"It is our Father's business to mark the future. Our eyes are dim. We cannot see tomorrow. But our Father knows all about tomorrow, and He will be ready for whatever happens. Therefore I will wait on Him. I raise no questions. I expect great mercies. " - Spurgeon

As I look to 2010, there are many questions that fill my mind. Will this be the year I meet my husband? What will this year hold? Spurgeon's words quiet my soul and remind me of my faithful father's care for me. So as I look to this year, I expect great mercies! For my father is merciful!

I love your heart. Reading this was a breath of fresh air for me. It's encouraging to see how vulnerable and real you are with the Lord, yet how rooted in what you know to be truth. I guess what I mean is that you are honest about your desires, struggles, and bring your questions before Him, but in the midst of the unknown there is still a surrender to who you know Him to be. Hope that makes sense! It's clear in my head, but I'm not sure how to say it. I was praying for you today and your future husband and that your courtship would be truly be a wonderful experience. I know that you both will bring glory to the name of Christ together and that you will be living testimonies to His goodness and grace. I look forward to that day when I can rejoice with you as that desire is fulfilled in your life. But in the meantime, I will continue to lift both of you up in prayer. Much love to you. :)
