A tribute to my dear mom on her birthday

"A virtuous woman who can find? She is far more precious than jewels . . . Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her - 'Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.' Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who praises the Lord is to be praised. Give her the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates."

Prov. 31:1, 28-31

Mom, on this your birthday, I want to take the moment to honor you for the virtuous woman that you are. There is no one I am learning more from as you live your life honoring the Savior and pouring yourself out daily for your family. Thank you for your example of seeking the Lord for strength and meeting with Him even in the busiest of times, for putting the needs of your family above your own, for pouring your life into meeting the needs of those around you, for not giving a thought to your own interests (this continues to amaze me!), for investing your time into serving your local church, for always looking for ways to bless and encourage your friends and family, and I could go on! What's more, for doing all this with so much joy!!! I am continually amazed by your example!! I want to be like you when I grow up!

So today, I am so excited to celebrate you and the gift you are!!! I thank God that you are my mom! And not only my mom, my best friend!! I love you! Happy Birthday!!!!!
