Anticipating refreshment
I'm so grateful! The Lord answered a desire of my heart that I don't think I actually ever even prayed about...I love it when He decides to just bless His children with those small things that delight us and remind us of His care!
As friend after friend has headed to the beach, I have been a little sad! for I too have really wanted to go to the beach! Well, lo and behold, the Lord just dropped a blessing in my lap! Good friends of our - Florrie Held and her daughter Lizzie (friends from when we lived in NC) invited us to spend a few days with them at their family's beach house in Wilmington, NC. Um, yes? didn't take long to answer that invitation! But after I excitedly said yes and started making plans with my for a girl's beach trip, I realized that the Lord truly answered a desire of my heart, unspoken as it was. How kind He is!
So tomorrow night I head to Fredericksburg to enjoy a fun day on Saturday with my parents. My dad has so sweetly planned a fun day for me and my mom (sleeping in, going out to breakfast, seeing a movie, etc...). Then Sunday, my mom and I head to the beach for a few days. Thank You, Lord, for just showing me Your care in these small details. They give me renewed faith and hope in Your care for ALL of my life. You see me. You have not forgotten about me. You desire to show me evidence of Your perfect love. Thank you, Lord, for undeserved blessings!
