Another year of mercy
A new year is dawning, another page of this book of my life is turning...
I pause and reflect on what the pages up till now have held.
Provision, a job that I love investing my life in, a dear Church, rich teaching that I sit under week after week, a roof over my head, food to strengthen me, family that surrounds me, friends that point me to Christ, and most importantly a Savior that loves me and gave His life for me.
What riches, what kindness the Lord has lavished upon me. So undeserving am I. But so lavish is He!
So as another year dawns, another page is turning, I await with eager anticipation what words will be written on this blank page called 2011. As Spurgeon says "I raise no questions, I expect great mercies."
