He sees me...

Sometimes the Lord has an amazing way of just surprising us! In the midst of struggles, often silent ones that others may not even be aware of, the Lord just breaks in and arrests our hearts! This past week was one of those weeks. I was struggling a bit with singleness and trusting the Lord. It was just a low-grade struggle, nothing hugely dramatic. But I was aware something was brewing in my heart. God saw. He was aware. He took notice of me. Out of seemingly nowhere and through the most unexpected of means, He lifted my gaze and reminded me of His tender care for me.

I received an email from an old college friend. Someone I've always looked up to but never got to know extremely well in college. But at our recent reunion I got to see her, which was a joy. And out of nowhere, she emailed me to encourage me in my singleness, let me know I've been on her heart, and then tell me the story of a dear friend of hers who just recently got married at 34. My gaze was freshly lifted to my faithful Father who sees all. He sees my struggles. He sees my joys. He knows JUST what I need. And can bring it from even the most unexpected places. And it is in those times that I am reminded of the sweetness of His care. For the encouragement didn't come from someone I'm regularly updating on "life!" He put me one someone's heart. This blows my mind.

And that's not all! The SAME day, I received message from a dear friend who is a pastors wife in CA. She randomly told me that a girl I've only met twice wanted me to know she's been praying for me in this single season. Wow! An almost total stranger praying for ME? That is so humbling. And was yet again another reminder of my Faithful Father. He knows me. He sees me. He cares for me. He loves me.

Thank You, Lord, for seeing me where I am and using these friends to remind me of Your care. How grateful I am!

Dear friend, your tender heart is so beautiful! Thank you for being transparent - it's pretty amazing when God puts us on someone's heart. Even more amazing when they take the time to pray, but one of the sweetest blessings is when they take the time to tell us that they are interceding on our behalf! It makes the waiting more meaningful to have such a supportive encouraging body of Christ to be there during this season. I'm praying for you, too!
