All is well

In reading “Beside Still Waters,” by my friend Charles Spurgeon, I was very encouraged by a portion that speaks of being quietly confident in the Lord. “Do not let secondary matters depress or excite you. Hold loosely to all worldly things, but grip firmly the unseen God. Fussing, worrying and hurrying will do no good. Be calm and quiet; all will be well if you are God’s child. In quietness and confidence shall be your strength - Isaiah 30:15.

In thinking specifically about my desire to be married..so many folks offer counsel that can be discouraging at times - “Have you tried this? What about online dating ?You can’t expect a man to just come to you.” But I do believe that as I faithfully serve and follow my Savior, IF He has a man for me, He is able to bring Him to me. I want to firmly grasp the unseen God, and not worry, fuss or hurry. But to rest in my Savior and watch Him work.

“Tested believer, the Lord will be as faithful to you as He has been to me. The Lord will not fail you. Do not be discouraged. “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms (Deut 33:27)”

“He will rejoice over you with singing. He will quiet you with His love. “ Zeph 3:17

“He who did not spare His own Son, will He not also with Him graciously give us all things? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?....No, in ALL these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything in all creation, will be able to separate from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:32-39

“I love You, O Lord, my strength.” Psalm 18:1

“I love the Lord because he has heard my voice and my plea for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call upon him as long as I live. The snares of death encompassed me; the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me; I suffered distress and anguish. Then I called on the name of the Lord; O Lord, I pray, deliver my soul. Gracious is the Lord, and righteous. Our God is merciful. The Lord preserves the simple; when I was brought low, He saved me. Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.” Psalm 116:1-17

Lord, today I rejoice. For You have dealt bountifully with me!!! No good thing have You withheld. You have guarded me, comforted me, quieted me with your love. I rejoice in your saving love. You called me from death and into life. What a love!!! Thank you for dealing so bountifully with me. For blessing my life with so much love and care. I am Your child and all is well.
