My story

I love to read. Especially a book that just draws me in bit by bit, next thing I know I'm transported into the very life and times of the characters. So often though, I'll be in the middle of a story and find myself dismayed at the turn of events..."What?? Why is this happening?? This better end well." All these thoughts and more echo in my mind and sometimes escape my lips in exasperation. But as the pages turn, I discover more and more why these twists and turns occurred and how the author so skillfully crafted his work, using each literary element to construct a story worthy of being retold. Well this week I've been meditating on the truth that my life is a story. And there is One who is writing each page of this story. And this storyteller is a master. He knows exactly what He wants to achieve, and is using each solitary event, every character that enters the scene, every twist and turn of the plot to write the story of my life. When I find myself wondering in confusion why the particular chapter I am in is so challenging, this truth comforts my heart. He's still writing the story of my life. I see events in isolation, He's oh so skillfully weaving them all together, to achieve the desired end. I simply can't despair and call the story over when I'm in the middle of it. He's still writing. So come what may on this page, the page will turn and more will be revealed. And what's more - I know the end. And that is secure! All will end well. Reminding myself in those moments of trial or confusion or panic to take heart!! The Master Storyteller is crafting my story. And it is a good one.

LOVE this! Thank you, friend! Isn't He good? Oh what a comfort to know that the Master has already finished writing our story - we just haven't read it yet - and it ends WELL! With Him there ARE happy endings!!! :) xoxo

That is beautiful! I'm excited to see how your story unfolds and how He uses each challenge to bring Him glory and encourage others as you rest in His goodness. So encouraged by this post. Keep writing!
