If I have Jesus, all will indeed be well
Another conversation with a friend who is burdened and struggling...Another family crisis...3 more pressing things added to my prayer list -- sometimes the sheer weight of life can be simply overwhelming. Especially for those of us who have deeply compassionate hearts. Our hearts just break at times with the pain of what others are walking through. Add to that our own lives! All the questions, decisions, times of waiting, challenges, and I could go on.
And yet in the midst of of all the unexpected twists and turns of life, there is a hand -- a hand that quiets the storms. A hand that holds it all together. There is a voice -- a voice that speaks truth into the madness. And this voice of my Savior reminds me yet again that He is here. He is holding everything together. If I have Jesus, all will indeed be well.
"Now it simply defies redemptive logic to allow yourself at any moment in your life to think that God would go to the extent that he has gone to provide you with salvation and then lose you along the way....If he gave you Jesus, he will give you along with him everything you need." (Tripp)
