The glorious whirlwind
I find myself in a glorious whirlwind. Two words that don't normally go together. But they do fit together in my reality. Life has been motoring on at a lightning pace. Day after day, week after week. And somehow here I find myself at the end of another Pastors College year. I moved back to Louisville last July after a season of caring for family. I was immediately thrown into the hustle and bustle of preparing for a new PC class.
Now I feel like I've blinked, and here we are in June getting ready to graduate this class. Where did the time go? Maybe in the weeks filled with emails and papers and grading and making travel plans for instructors. The time went into Sunday after Sunday of worshiping with my dear church. Getting settled into a place of my own again and setting up a home. Building new friendships and strengthening old ones. Trips to see my dear family. Phone calls and facetimes checking in on my family when I can't be there. Countless hours crying out to God for pressing needs of my family and close friends. Oh it's been a whirlwind alright!
But it has indeed been glorious. I don't want to lose sight of the good that my God has done in the whirlwind. He's raining down good gifts moment by moment. How thankful I am for His care that envelopes me in the crazy of my life. It's a whirlwind alright! But because of such grace, it is glorious.
